Do you really think all the democrats that are in congress are going to vote yes to a new assault weapons ban? Look what happened last time, the democrats got their butt kicked out of congress and remember what happens in mid term elections, republicans show up in force. Forget about inner city votes, they don't show up for mid terms.

How can a democrat politician be pro gun control and keep his or her job?

Democrats realized that gun control is the third rail. They want to continue to beat the crap out of Republicans.

Democrats will huff and puff, but in the end they'll cave to the NRA.

I've said it before, I don't think gun control (along with gay marriage) is worth going to the mat for.
