CNN has been running stories on this for a while.
Conversion therapy (at least in the one i have heard CNN talk about) consist of young men being naked around each other or embracing each other for long periods of time, watching porn together, being paired with an older male companion to teach them how straight men act, shock therapy while looking at pictures of naked men.
I would like to know how any of that helps someone become straight, some of that sounds like a gay man's dream.
Must be very depressing news for hopeful homosexuals seeking to become heterosexual.
If they actually believe homosexuality can be "cured," they probably lead a pretty depressing & naive life anyway (most likely brainwashed by religion).

Haha... I know, right? I watched a documentary on this subject once, and these men spent most of the "therapy session" cuddling together on the couch. If that was supposed to be some kind of aversion therapy, it didn't seem to be working very well! They looked like a happy couple, actually.
In reality I feel very sad for these people, who were obviously raised to feel ashamed of who they are. Even as a heterosexual, it makes me very grateful to have open-minded, loving, and tolerant parents... they have always encouraged us to be ourselves, and our happiness was/is their #1 priority. Also glad we weren't raised particularly religious (more culturally Jewish), and have always been free to formulate our own opinions on that - same with politics, now that I'm thinking about it.

Or maybe they simply have a different opinion than the leftist thought police.
Religious is only a small part of it. They don't have anything I like or want.....I think they are five fries short of a happy meal anyway. Get some help...will ya!
I was thrilled to see this block and hopefully it will go further. Imagine, these were the same kids that the parents were trying to get to wash their hands before they ate and now.............. Who wouldn't want to try to help their children not end up with ill health both mental and physical? Lessen their chances of contracting HIV/AIDS and I can just imagine the ills from anal/oral contact, not to mention a higher rate of suicide even in countries and areas where the stigma of the LGBT lifestyle has been removed or at least moved into the shadows. We want the best for our children. I used to buy into the "you don't choose who you fall in love with" but after reading about the sexual acts and percentages engaging in them, and I swear I don't even understand why are considered sexual, many are very abusive in nature, I understood why homosexuality was considered a mental health condition. If you don't understand why a parent would want to have their child in therapy there is a PDF file that is excellent and current entitled "The Negative Health Consequences of Same-Sex Sexual Behavior" by Andre Van Mol, MD dated July 27, 2011. Read it. About who you love? In what sick world? If the LGBT community would not have pushed to have it removed as a mental health issue, instead of suicide and depression, etc., they could be getting the help that they need.
The amount of vile trash in this post is beyond words. No wonder Jesus said he didn't know people like you.
