This is an excerpt from an article that was in the paper. I have made some changes to the original. The original is after the altered version.

Altered version:

MOSCOW (AP) - The American government under George Bush has amassed
so much central authority that the power grab may undermine Washington's
commitment to democracy, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said
yesterday.

Moderator cut: do not repost copyrighted articles

Now the original:

MOSCOW (AP) - The Russian government under Vladimir Putin has amassed
so much central authority that the power grab may undermine Moscow's
commitment to democracy, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said
yesterday.

Yep.

Pot, this is Kettle.

Black.

Over.

I also sort of get a laugh over the way Israeli (real) nukes are ignored, while Iraqi and Iranian (make believe) nukes are hyped.

At least most of America has learned to ignore our imperial leaders mouth motions, much as the Russians learned to ignore theirs.

And, of course, no one ever mentions our own nukes.

The Israelis build weapons to use on the Muslims while the Muslims build plants to make nuclear fuel rods for sale that will compete with the fuel rod makers in this country. Threatening to kill millions is far less important than creating a market in a valuable commodity.

The Muslims do not need nuclear weapons to destroy Israel. They just need to take the causalities a ‘conventional’ war will create. The Israelis need the nukes to keep us from abandoning them once we realize they are not worth the effort.

But the Muslims are not men enough to take those casualties, are they? They sure couldn't handle the JDF when they didn't have nukes...

even when they outnumber the Israelis 1000 to 1.
