No. Jesus would NOT be in the NRA. Jesus would have no reason to own a gun, much less to me a member of an organization that supports the gun INDUSTRY.

Jesus would not support INDUSTRIES, much less GUNS.

When the Sandy Hook Massacre occurred, JESUS WEPT.

P.S. want another reason? Jews do not hunt. Especially not for sport.

He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.
Luke: Chapter 22 Verse 36
Luke 22:36 He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

Even Jesus could not prevent criminals from having guns. He would not have to worry about defending Himself, but we do. The day I can be sure criminals will not have guns is the day I won't need one.

I think it is impossible to say. You can find a few passages of him as a pacifist and a few passages of him as vengeful but most of the time he didn't really address things that would lean right wing or left wing or pro or anti gun at all. I think you can be a good Christian at any point along the modern political spectrum. Even when it comes to abortion, which tends to be the big hot botton issue for devoutly religious people, I see no incompatiblity with being pro-choice and pro-Bible at the same time. I think you can draw religious support for being either pro gun or anti gun depending on which verses of the Bible you choose and how you interpret them.
