Someone usually starts a thread like this around the holidays, and since no one did this year, here goes. It's nice to have a place where we can set aside our differences and share the joy of the season with each other.
I'm been baking this morning to get ready for Christmas dinner tomorrow--cake for the trifle and cooking giblets for the stuffing. We got 7 or 8 inches of snow late last week, so we're having a white Christmas out here in Nebraska--it looks like it's going to snow tomorrow too! My oldest son is home from college, along with my four younger boys. It's great to have everyone together. The house is warm and cozy, the boys and my husband are laughing and helping me get ready--life is good.
Here's wishing all of you a wonderful Christmas, or a Happy Holiday Season if you follow a different faith, and a wonderful New Year!
It's 30 degrees F at 1:00 pm and I am getting off lunch in a moment, and going back to work. I will be working on the 25th to for the first and last time in my life. it appears as the Red Commie Chinese don't take x-mass off and we are nearing the completion of a machine they can't seem to retro engineer, so I have to work.
Merry Christmas. My spirit is there just not my body.
it is 34 degrees, the car is loaded with presents, cookies, candy, cheese balls, and a few dips and chips, plus nuts. We will be leaving soon to enjoy our Christmas eve with our family. Luckily our daughter is only about 5 miles away cause the snow might start before we get home (not likely) There is nothing like a white Christmas as long as the snow doesn't make it impossilbe to drive.. Now i think I had better jump in the tub and get my big, fat, !@@ moving. Tomorrow dinner is here.
