So Israel heavily restricts gun carrying, and Switzerland removed the ammunition for their militia issued weapons years ago. In Israel you do not have a right to a gun and instead you must prove both that you a good reason to get one and that you are qualified which means you have to flawlessly pass a 100 question test about Israeli gun laws and pass a mental health exam; fail either and they take away your gun. You have to redo this every year. Even after all that most gun license requests are denied unless you are a settler in the occupied west bank. They don't want armed yahoos in Israel proper. BTW for years the Swiss were not allowed to carry ammo for their issued militia rifle and now even Switzerland is requiring most militia members to keep their rifles locked up in official armories when not on official military service.
The NRA's habit of saying 'but look at these other countries' is falling into the old reality trap. Reality says otherwise.
Neither Israel nor Switzerland have "shall not be infringed" in their constitution.
I think even the NRA knows that they are full of it.
and so are the morons that keep blaming the NRA for things that have nothing to do with legally owning guns.... crazy people will kill people with anything... weather it be a gun, knife, sword, baseball bat, tire ire iron, crowbar, ice pick, screw driver, hammer, bomb, car or truck or even airplane.
the blame for killings gos to the people doing the killing (and or those who are behind those who do/did the killing....)

In Israel guns are legal only for use against Muslims.

No argument from me on that point.
The NRA, however has turned into a fear mongering org that has long ago lost touch with reality.
What kind of guns should our teachers be armed with? If we need armed teachers in our classroom then the game is over already.
Wow, no comments, huh? But just days ago the gun nuts were all repeating the talking point that some how Israel and Switzerland were their ideal examples. What changed?
Oh, they were proven to be completely wrong in what they were saying... That's right.
Israel doesn't have Israelis charging into schools killing children, neither to the Swiss. They don't need to protect against a hazard that doesn't exist.
However, we have that problem here, for one reason or another, we need a solution, that they don't.
We already know that gun ownership isn't the problem, since those countries have a greater instance of semi and automatic weapons ownership than we do, and they aren't getting their children shot up.
SO, maybe we need to take an action, THEY don't require.

No gun ownership is the problem and the quantity of them. More guns = more opportunities for fatalities. Now if the US did a better job of putting guns into the hands of the right people, there would be less of an issue.
Israel treat gun ownership differently and has mandatory military service. Most countries treat gun ownership as a privilege not a right, and therein is the issue.
