No the problem is that you want everyone to see things from your point of view. We don't. While it is an issue that he had access to those guns, it is a very minor issue compared to what actually caused him to want to use those guns in that manner. Deal with the mental illness and criminal mentality of the perpetrators to address crimes like this. Don't do it by blaming the inanimate object that was used.
That Adam Lanza had access to guns, and ammunition, is a major issue. But then, that people like you want to cover it up, IS why I suggested some are simply incapable of learning from these tragedies.

You are here arguing that the elitist class should have no extra benefits beyond what you have available to yourself but on the other hand you complain all the time on this board when you think your tax dollars are helping the poor to something you think they should work for or do without. If you want to protect your child in the manner of a president's children then seek out a private school that meets your those standards and pay for it with your own money.
I am also seeing that same sentiment. We need more of this and that, but don't take my guns, and we should have equal treatment that the higher end has. I wonder who will pay for this treatment if no one likes "shelling" out their hard-earned money for food stamps, section 8, and other welfare programs that the feel everyone on the list is abusing the system and are lazy good for nothings. Obviously Obama doesn't want guns banned for the elite as he considers himself to be -- or he'd have SS agents that are unarmed. And obviously he wants his aristocratic children protected by guns -- but that's because he's a filthy rich man who believes his money and power entitle him to what the little people cannot have.
Pretty rotten to expect he should be entitled to what the peons cannot have--- and that is sel-defense and protection.

Of all the Presidential hopefuls, Romney was the one and only who inacted state law banning AR-15 weapons and did so in 2004. He also defended that action during his campaign.

I'm "smh" because you can't seem to fathom that yes, in this magical place the rest of us inhabit called "the real world," presidents and heads of states are targets EVERY DAY OF THEIR LIVES and NEED heavily armed security to protect themselves from other nutters with guns.
If they were private citizens, or even lower level government, they are NOT valuable targets to terrorists, foreign governments and other assorted crazies.
I don't understand the call in this country to become even MORE armed! Have you travelled to foreign countries where armed guards stand on the streets and in front of private homes? I feel LESS safe in those places, not MORE safe! Why the desire to live like they do in 3rd world banana republics? Murder IS down to decades lows, you know, yet the calls for increased arming of the public ramps up despite that FACT.
