No. White women get a free pass because they are White women. That's how that works. The benefits that "whiteness" can have in a Black man's life is profound. A White women and half-white children in a majority White American society is what many strive for. Attach that desire to women who desire men they were once forbidden to be with, along with the attention they get for being with these men, and you have a very unique match. Furthermore, White women generally do not view their half-Black children as Black. They view them as biracial, separate from Black children born to two Black parents. Historically, the one-drop rule came into existence because the mixed children born at that time were of Black Slave women and White Slave owners. The child was to be the condition of the mother. That is why half-white kids were considered Black. Their status was that of their mother. And yes, at that time, White women were complicit in the oppression of these half-White children, even if these kids had White fathers.
So it benefits a black man to have a white woman? Whose giving the White woman a free pass? Black men or American society?
No. White women get a free pass because they are White women.
White women get a pass because they're women. Men don't view women as a threat and any opinions women express we don't really take to heart. Ask any man and he'll tell you he is doesn't get as upset when a woman insults him as a man.
What's more is if the woman is attractive, we want to have sex with her. Her being racist only increases the fun of having sex with her.
Yes, I have an uncle who HATES white people. Hates them to a level that adversely effects his own life. He has a grandson he barely speaks to because he married a white girl. I feel bad for her and wonder what will happen when they have kids.
This is typical. Many Black men have let White women off the hook in regards to racism. They don't view them as racists. White women don't view themselves as racists. Both view White men as racists and oppressors. White women were and still are complicit in the discrimination of Black men, women, and children, but somehow, it's only White men who are viewed as racist. White women have a very difficult time owning up to their own racism, and Black men have a very difficult time viewing White women as racists.
Many oppressed people think that if there were economic equality the rest (general acceptance) would probably follow. Money opens many doors in this country, no matter who you are or what your past was.
Blacks and women have been discriminated against on the job by white men. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
So, there may be somewhat of a natural alliance between black people and white women.
