the link itself goes into more details, but its obvious those states arent at the top just because they are run by republicans. If it was, then there wouldnt be so much interchanging in the middle, it would be all R's at the top and all Dems at the bottom.
Did anyone notice there are no people in the top ten states! Only cornfields, moose, and cattle?

Another commonality of those at the top of the list is the amount of federal money they receive compared to the taxes they send Washington. All those small states get more federal money than they pay,

That was quite a list, posted....but here is a query. Since you hate liberalism and "socialism" and are so sure it doesn't work.........Name even one successful, small government, conservative country? I have been asking that question on city data for over two years and yet no one can come up with an answer. How odd is that?

No people?

Who are the individuals flocking to North Dakota to work in the oil fields - Klingons?

As Mr. Spock would say - you are highly illogical.

Most Red States Take More Money From Washington Than They Put In | Mother Jones
But not because they're moochers. It's because the Federal Government spends money there (on stuff like national parks, military bases, department of energy, etc.) and the fact that rich people (our primary taxpayers) live in big, blue cities. And Nebraska pays more than they get back.

Public assistance rate of these top 5 states:
ND - #34
WY - #41
NE - #35
UT - #26
IA - #37

This 'red state welfare' thing has been debunked countless times. Blue states are net payers because the rich people Liberals love to hate live in their states and pay the lion's share of Federal income taxes.

Nonsense.

Anyone who's lived in rural areas and the city, knows exactly the opposite is true.

NO ONE is "flocking" to North Dakota! Getting stuck having to work in an oil field in the middle of nowhere, with the worst weather in the country not even near where anyone in their right mind would live if they didn't have to and even the sun doesn't dare to shine ....isn't exactly an exodus INTO North Dakota. Excuse the run-on sentence!

People aren't stuck working in the oil field - they voluntarily choose to do so - often because the job pays well.

Have you been listening to Creedence Clearwater Revival today?
