"I'd rather live under a dictator who gave his people quality education, free healthcare, usually had a job out of school lined up for me, did not interfere in my lifestyle, and maintained zero dollars in foreign national debt, than under a democratically chosen government that did not guarantee any of this."
See, that came to mind, but I couldn't help but wonder, doesn't a life where the responsibility for such necessities/luxuries falls completely on the shoulder of he/she that rules us the greatest possible convenience?

What do you say?
Wow, thats a naive post. Since when does a dictator do for his people. Dictators crave power and wealth and once gained do not want to give it up. They want power over the people and that power is obtained and kept by keeping the people poor, uneducated, dependent and worst of all by people living in fear of the government. Fear for their lives should they step out of line or speak out against the dictator.
No-one, including your benevolent dictator, can give without taking. Whether I prefer to live in the hypothetical utopia or not is irrelevant because it cannot exist.

You are very naive if you don't know this.
He's speaking hypothetically.
Well to answer the OP post, that's a dangerous question. Pretty much this reminds me of a game of Life, you can either take the safe route or take the risky route. I may not be the biggest fan of capitalism, but the risk capitalists take can either improve society or hurt society. I'm the type of guy that craves the larger things in life, I want to be in the top 2% of America at the very least, I like luxury homes, and expensive cars (I really want a Audi R8 after seeing one today), so personally I'd rather keep what we have. But if I didn't have such large ambitions in life, and was perfectly contempt with a annual salary of $50k to live comfortably, then I'd probably take the dictatorship.
So as I said above, I prefer risk. I like being able to work at this consultant job I have now, and have the opportunity to escalate into something more rather than taking the safe route and keeping the same consultant job all my life with the same salary.

Correction: No GOVERNMENT can give without taking.

The problem with your statement is you're presuming the guarantee is going to be fulfilled, yes?
No, I would prefer a parliamentary monarchy with a limited democracy if we were ever to change but we never will.
