Hey, brave internet calumniator, why don't you tell us specifically which Christian principles the owner is not standing on. Put up or shut up.
He doesn't follow Jesus, that's for sure. Jesus doesn't condone the kind of hate people like you display on this forum, and he will declare he doesn't know you and this business owner.
It seems that based on the owner's limited world-view, he has made the right choice by discontinuing doing weddings. What might really destroy his business the rest of the way, however, is that he has been so public about his hate. It's not just gay people who will avoid the trolley now. Eventually, all these businesses will get what they want, because only other like-minded individuals will be their patrons. But I think they might find that the population of those like-minded individuals is shrinking. LGBT folks are quite aware of the power of the dollar. And their friends are too.

Gay sites on line are now promoting themselves by showing 10 yr old girls in bed gleefully with what would be lesbians trying to suggest they are good parents. One such photo I noticed yesterday right here in this forum....if it was two gay males with a young boy in bed, they would never get away with the prop.
Gays have bad judgement all around and the Russian leader Putin today is going to pass a bill dis-allowing American adults to adapt the Russian children and take them away to their home in America. With gays adapting and the child porn in abuse that we know is just getting worse, he's making a very wise decision. A country that allows gay's to fill out an application to get a child is a country gone mad.
The gay people have come out of the closet...ok, but they are trying to invade and take over suggesting that they have equality with the example and flourishing momentum of contribution and value of the hetro union. This is illogical and a thoughtless contradictory momentum, nothing to do with religion, just plain common sense prompting decency.
Why should the general public have to slow traffic down, notice and be supportive of yet another parade which militates against the species survival refusing to acknowledge the intended...fueling the streetcar in conformity with fueling the aids epidemic, which is a scientific fact. No clear decent thinking person would join themselves and find a means of exchange in money for their very food from such human negativism. Man is an individual, not a puppet or robot, but an individual who finds himself in the decent decisions which allow him to identify his unique self. Good decision I'd say, people need more examples of the real individual. So does the world in many many stemming ways.

There's also nothing in the Christian bible that says all Christian doctrine is spelled out in minute detail in the Christian bible. It's enough that the bible condemns homosexual acts as intrinsically immoral. It follows that Christian marriage cannot be consummated by an act that is intrinsically immoral.
And a civil marriage, endorsed and recognized by the government, is NOT a "christian marriage". We are not, have never been, and most certainly will never be, a christian country.

It would be more accurate to say that the owner has the right to not run it as he wishes. If he wants to reopen, he will have to put his bigotry aside and provide services to gay people. Maybe he can open another business that is allowed to cater only to homophobes, probably not very profitable long term since with each passing day more and more haters and bigots are dying.
