It may well be the last year that the US has a republican president. It is not unthinkable that the republicans will fail to elect a president for a generation or more unless they change their image and policies. But there will be white democrats to come.
The Republicans had to go pretty far to lose the support of an old white guy like me. Heck, I even made contributions to the RNC in the past. I even got a nice letter last fall from Reince Priebus asking for more. Apparently he hadn't gotten the word that I'm voting (and supporting) Democrats these days.
The GOP left me behind way back there somewhere and they're continuing to accelerate in the wrong direction.
Perhaps it is the end of white presidents or perhaps not, why does it make any difference as to what color a presidents skin color is? and why is this important to you?
You miss the point of the thread. Its not important to me, im not even american. The importance lies with the soon to be majority of non-white people who will not vote for a white person. We've already seen, with whites still in the majority (particularly above voting age), a non-white president can be elected, I just wanted to see how many people believe a white could be elected in a non-white majority country. I know of no country where such a thing has happened.

This isn't a Liberal viewpoint. It is an individuals opinion. I don't have enough experience with the o.p. to know their personal ideology but it doesn't strike me as particularly liberal given the present topic.
