P.S. I have no interest in fully banning guns, nor do any liberals I know... and I'm literally surrounded by liberals here, most of who care more about the fact that I smoke than their neighbors possibly keeping firearms. So if it makes you feel any better, I imagine most of them would ban cigarettes first if they could (you should see the nasty looks I get for smoking in public).

Face it, both the Republicans and Democrats want to impose their beliefs, they just have different specific interests. That's why I associate with neither party, and prefer to err on the side of libertarianism... basically I don't care what anyone does, as long as it's not directly harming an unwilling participant. Try it sometime.
Exactly, the right do more to impose their beliefs that the left ever has.

Tax revenue was well as sales of Cigarettes have been declining for about 2 decades.

also, since the left does not advocate for the banning of all guns, i would expect that same of cigarettes.

long story short. #FAIL

In addition to the obvious fact that most people on the left aren't talking about banning guns...have you not noticed the massive taxes meant to drive up the costs of tobacco, and the bans in many states on smoking in hospitals, workplaces, bars, restaurants, taxi cabs, busses, subways, parks, and on and on?

Why aren't the right? They're screaming about banning women's rights.

Ummm, people (I have no idea of the political affiliation because I don't base my life on this) have tried this.

The loony left is actually considering lowering cig taxes. They will adjust the tax rate to sell just enough to fund their programs without killing off demand completely.
