This was a interesting scenario that was put to the test at a restaurant. Watch the results of what happens and post comments.

You go first.

Amazing the number of posters who start a thread with something like: Please comment/you must read this/open this thread! But don't bother to give their own opinions on the subject.

Why don't you 'what the results' for us and give an opinion?

Who cares. My father told me a long time ago that he doesn't care who I marry because I'm the one that has to wake up to them everyday. Enough said. Sounds like you're either trying to find a choir to cry to or are ready to test the waters. Life is too short to worry about what others say about your life.

I would not care, though I wonder what the OP's opinion is on this topic seeing he started it without stating that.

It's a loaded topic that no one wants to talk about. It shows how loaded the subject of race is in this country. Racism has never died. Prejudice and bigotry have never died. It has become more covert and subtle.

I could imagine the scenario taking place because I know some people that I went to high school with. I knew a White woman who wanted to date a Black man, but her parents wouldn't allow her to date Black men. I know a few people who would disown their daughters over it. I think some people don't want to talk about it because some people might have done the same thing. Who knows?

Plenty of people talk about it.

Just not people like the OP who start controversial threads but don't make their own opinions known. Lack of courage? He doesn't want his true feelings known? He has an agenda? He entertains himself with posting controversial topics? He's never known an interracial couple?

Hard to say. But it's hard to get enthusiastic about a subject when the OP doesn't seem to have the desire to join in himself. So it's Meh. If he doesn't care enough to state his feelings, why should anyone else? Look at his newest thread with all the*'s. D id he give his opinion? Nope. He just started a thread where he could post a derogatory name with a lot of *'s. So meh. I'll go with agenda.

Most white parents prefer white in-laws. However, only some of them force it.

Interracial couples do have more difficulties to deal with, and those who choose this way should be prepared

I agree with your post. That is why I agree with the older lady in the video.

It's not really a big deal. I have dated women who are not the same race as myself.
