Riddle me this.

Bush tax cuts cut taxes for everyone. Didn't the democrats complain that the tax cuts took money away from the spending programs?

NOW, they want the tax cuts, just not for everyone, but are still unwilling to stop spending money they don't have?

Last, isn't it the job of the senate to pass a budget?

We need a constitutional amendment, any senator not performing their job, and passing a budget cannot run for re-election.

You're right of course. Tanking the economy is easy. Saving it OTOH is clearly hard work. I mean... 400 odd men and women that collectively earn more than some countries couldn't do it. Must be real, real hard. So cut Obama some slack. Anything that 400 highly educated, highly paid, highly experienced people could not do, in spite of the dire consequences of failure, is not something I would expect that... ...

Exactly, they can all vote for tax cuts tomorrow.

Do you honestly think you'd be better off if there were only one party? Does history tell you anything?

This might be true, if it weren't for the fact that they, and their predecessors, are the ones who created the problems.

It wasn't like these problems suddenly happened. Politicians have been kicking this can down the road since Eisenhower. They had a chance to make things right in 96, and totally blew it.

And Bob is wrong (again) as they've put a deal together and will be voting either tonight, or in the morning.
