That private sector may not be getting up soon after the Congress passed that law tonight that was unconstitutionally written and then voted on. Of course, Obama won't sign it till tomorrow because the HOuse took more than one hour to determine its outcome. Do you know whether that law was a tax law, or not.

It is obvious you will not....but FYI....the repubs have NOT held the majority over the last 40 year....

Look it up, it began a lot longer than 2008...

Again, are you honest with yourself?

The Republicans have held the house majority in 14 out of the past 20 years.

The Democrats held it prior.

Yes they do.

It also means a substantial number of U.S. jobs.

Are you concerned about the origination clause? Because it doesn't apply to the fiscal cliff legislation.

You might want to revisit this one.
Medicare was never self -funded. It relied on a subsidy from general revenue from the get-go. It now relies on general reveue for 40% of its costs. It will surpass 50% by the end of this decade.

Good grief, talk about faux outrage. All Obama wants to do is increase taxes on the top income earners from 35% to 39%, how will this help eliminate a $1.4 trillion annual deficit, and how does opposing that increase equate to treason?

First of all, Obama and the democrats are 100% responsible for the entire tax issue, they are the ones who passed and signed a temporary tax rate, with an expiration of this January.

Secondly, it was Obama and the democrats, not the republicans, who refused to make the tax rates permanent, they wanted a two year extension with a drop dead date of Jan 2013.
