That private sector may not be getting up soon after the Congress passed that law tonight that was unconstitutionally written and then voted on. Of course, Obama won't sign it till tomorrow because the HOuse took more than one hour to determine its outcome. Do you know whether that law was a tax law, or not.
Yet, the military spending remains the same. The problem are these extremely influential weapons contractor lobbies. Those guys got congress by the balls.
SS and Medicare are self-funded and not a tax burden for anyone, as long as the damn politicians keep their dirty mitts off the money given the govt via payroll taxes. The problem is that the politicians keep robbing SS and Medicare. You can keep blaming the repubs all you want, but the fact of the matter is that the dems are just as responsible.

Medicare was never self -funded. It relied on a subsidy from general revenue from the get-go. It now relies on general reveue for 40% of its costs. It will surpass 50% by the end of this decade.

Republicans in the House have proved more than once they want to go over the cliff and destroy our great country they all need to be charged for treason Republicans only care about the 2% to 4%
Good grief, talk about faux outrage. All Obama wants to do is increase taxes on the top income earners from 35% to 39%, how will this help eliminate a $1.4 trillion annual deficit, and how does opposing that increase equate to treason?
First of all, Obama and the democrats are 100% responsible for the entire tax issue, they are the ones who passed and signed a temporary tax rate, with an expiration of this January.
Secondly, it was Obama and the democrats, not the republicans, who refused to make the tax rates permanent, they wanted a two year extension with a drop dead date of Jan 2013.
