Don't confuse support for the Amendment with wide support for abuse of the Amendment ... particularly the use and possession of assault weapons. On that issue, you're wrong. Most gun owners are obviously law abiding, decent Americans. But there's an extremist element amongst gun owners who do not support our form of government or our national values.
Well, the law requires for the information to be filed and kept, so what are you gonna do? This is why some people are uneasy about having the information registred in such files/databases.
Filed and kept in a gun dealers shop...... No one can gain access to unless the shop closes, was sold, or got busted....
Go ahead and try to create a line of crime for a gun.... lets say is it is a .45 Govt Model Colt serial number 12345.
LOL, you got a point there. Someone always wants something you have.
That is the unfortunate truth. The question people need to ask is if they want to retain their posessions so bad they would kill over it. I remember last year a Texas guy killed a burglar who was trying to break into his neighbors house, which was empty. Even though the law may be on his side, I am sure he regrets doing it. I have insurance, so I don't worry about my TVs etc, the only thing I need a gun for is to defend my family and myself.
Well I have an easy answer for your question which involves a question. Adam Lanza got his gun by taking from his mother who was legal to buy a gun and then went and shot up a school...how should we as a country prevent that from happening? My answer for your question is going to be the exact same answer you have for this question, that way it makes it less confusing for you to understand.
Yes ... and those weapons allegedly taken from his mom were transported to the school using the car he took from his mom ... right?
Problem .... just another of the dozens of "inconsistencies" (read: fabricated lies that are falling apart at the seams) the car allegedly belonging to Adam Lanza's mother is actually not her car, nor is it registered to her ... it's registered to a Christopher Rodia, who has a long criminal history and facing 7 felony charges, for which he was out on bond. His brother and mother are being held on separate heroin trafficking charges, and none of them have any apparent links to the Lanzas ...
Is this Christopher Rodia the suspect that police apprehended at the scene, wearing camo pants and a black jacket, who witnesses saw arrested and handcuffed at the scene ... with police video showing apprehended in the woods?
Well, we probably aren't going to be informed about that by the "authorities", because nobody ... neither the police or media will now talk about a second suspect at all now .... and the story that the car belonged to the dead mother of the shooter remains the official LIE ... errr ... "story".

The word is translated from German word sturmgewehr, where the word "sturm" is a purely military term, - a "storming attack" where you run to take a field, and fire bursts of bullets as you go. In English the word assault can mean any kind of assult, even a man assulting someone with nothing but his fists. Sturmgewehr aka assault rifle is a military rifle, with an option for full automatic firing. AR-15 is not an assault rifle, but the M-16 version is.
How about victims of domestic desputes that have restraining orders against offenders? Do they deserve their addresses posted on the Internet so that their stalker can easily find them?
If that's the case then just post everyone's address and tie to the address whether they have a firearm or not. Then it can be a free for all.
I respect your right to privacy, and your right to have it.
But
Owning a gun is not a shameful thing for us to hide. I have admitted to owning numerous un registered weapons, including illegal modded automatic rifles, and HEIAP ammunition for my rifles. And yet I proudly display my address, my picture, and my full name (in profile) and invite any government men to try and confiscate my property.
Let's face it if you're scared of being published in a newspaper you will probably be too scared to do anything with the firearm.
The majority of Americans don't own guns. Gun owners are the minority.
I thought that the left was all for protecting the rights of the minority.
