The pearl-clutchers are at least predictable. Every year after Kathy Griffin has done this show we have the usual suspects squealing at how their fragile sensibilities have been offended. Poor babies.

I've partied enough years, and woken up with a killer headache and list of people I need to apologize to that I no longer need or want to go out for NYE fun. It's great to get up feeling refreshed on the first day of the New Year.
Ain't that the truth.
I watched a day long marathon of Tanked on Animal Planet, then as midnight approached, switched to Fox News because I wanted to hear Sarah Brightman sing.
Put her on Comedy Central where that type of talk is more appropriate.
CNN is not the venue for that. Or maybe that's what CNN is turning into now.
I agree, and no i don't get offended easily at all, infact i can too dish it out, but i can take it too.
However CNN is not the right spot to do this. I don't care what era we are in, there is still such thing as having pride, and saying things as that, in the right venue.
Principles should never ever be compromised, no matter what year it is. So should we now just let everything just slip on by, and accept the unacceptable to some.
I care about as much for Griffin as i do Rose Ann Barr.
My young children stayed up until midnight. We channel surfed a little and then tuned in to CNN for the ball. As soon as I heard that, we changed the channel asap. No more CNN next NYE for us. Totally inappropriate for that type of channel.
