I hope it isn't portending such a dismal 2013 that the happy-by-comparison 2012 is the one more worthy of being put up there

Actually the "3" is not good enough for me, the bottom of the 3 dips down into the red line... its really bothering me

Good observation. Seems the "3" font is a bit large.
