Yeah we moved and our kids used to go to a private school. I heard a kid was suspened there for bringing a plastic knife in her lunch to spread her peanut butter on crackers. Zero tolerance nonsense is just plain stupid no matter what school your at.

I would invite friends over and we would have a field day in the back yard playing Army with toy guns and other military stuff my father brought home from overseas. We had his army tents we would put up like a fort and just had a grand time. We had the little plastic green army men we would set up and play with. We would also dress up like cowboys and Indians, wear holsters with cap guns and point and shoot at each other. Now I read this story of a 6 years old kid who was suspended from school by making a gun pose with his finger and thumb pointing it at somebody like he would shoot them in a play like fashion.............like we did as kids. Is this going to far? Do you think political correctness has gotten so out of hand that NOW we must refrain our kids from playing 'Cowboys and Indians', Army and 'Cops and Robbers' with toy guns and such like we did as kids?

Yes. How many people have you murdered as a result of you childish cops and robbers games?

Or maybe we just need to ban fingers... without fingers, kids couldn't mimic a gun.

Zero tolerance is for people who have zero judgement.

I've never seen any of those FBI profilers say that killers played cops and robbers as kids. I better be quiet or some left leaning profiler will do that very thing.

Default Eh

My mom or dad would not allow us to raise toy guns at each other, but we could shoot at objects. We also through "indian" spears at each other (pointy plants that hurt).
