Nice job, Democrats and RINOs. You fooled them again. Most people thought their taxes wouldn't go up, that only "the rich" would get stuck.

Suckers.

Elections have consequences.
But not for the Hollywood millionaires. They got a big tax break. Also the NASCAR millionaires. And others.

So just the poor working suckers got screwed. And anyone with a 401k or IRA got screwed and they don't even know it.

That's only ONE of the tax increases. There are many others.

The debate isn't about FICA.

What's relatively new is the attitude expressed here all the time, that working people should be grateful for any of their income the gov't. does Not take. Tighten your fiscal belt, drink fewer lattes, work harder, don't have kids, if 2% makes a difference you must be an idiot, and so on. Perverse.

They are when you take money from one person and give it to another. That's government sponsored theft.

One thing I can easily discern is that Hollywood millionaires don't need special tax breaks. Maybe you can't comprehend that.

The numbers provided by the OP's article came from a computer simulation model using 2004 tax data folks.
Just FYI....

As said countless times, if you are complaining about people not earning enough to pay federal taxes, then you should blame the Bush tax-cuts for that.

Moreover, it is not only a false characterization to call these people "leeches" it is also unfair. These "leeches" include our senior citizen parents and grandparents, who worked hard all their lives to retire and not work and pay income taxes. But most of them are just people who work hard mowing laws, washing your dishes and cleaning your house, who just happen to not earn enough to get subject to federal income tax. That doesn't mean they are lazy or not producing. They just are low paid.

But why do I bother? The right-wing isn't persuaded by facts and evidence. They just want to believe what they want to believe. So go on believing that America is loaded with leeches that just want to depend upon handouts for their living.

Correct.

They will NEVER reduce spending. Not one dime.

Raising taxes is like giving a crack addict another bowlful of crack. More taxes means more spending.
