You can't make this up. The abuse of the Food Stamp system has gotten out of hand. Here is a fine example of what these people are doing. How can we as taxpaying citizens combat this epidemic of fleecing?

Agree that many Americans need to be more responsible, and that food stamp exploitation has gotten out of control. But AAs aren't the only ones who misuse it, so there's no need to jump on the racial angle, IMO. And what do you expect when the govt promises to give, give give? People will want, want, want. At least they're cracking down on the problem.

Wrong.
This is a fine example of what one dumb broad tried to do.
No worry....you...'we'... don't have to do a thing. It gets combatted right away by not making it through the register.

Default Really though?

She wasn't arrested for the attempt of buying Ipads with her EBT card, she was arrested for shoplifting and assault on an employee of Wal-Mart. How old are you?

Oh and yes she's dumb, she might have been using her EBT card as a way to distract the cashier since she ran off with the merchandise. I mean, I could understand if the items were approved, which would go with your rant about this is where our money is going, but it was not approved so no, this is NOT where your money is going.

The iPads are locked and have to be paid for in electronics which they always place in the back of the store.
Did this woman think she could make it out the front door with an iPad ?

Typical.........Just Typical: American Woman Jailed For Trying To Buy Multiple IPads With 'Food Stamp EBT Card'.

Really? This is typical?

Does that mean you can present us with statistics on the frequency of people buying nonfood items with Food Stamps?

Also, did you notice that the illegal use of the Food Stamp benefit card was blocked by the system designed to do just that?

Did you read the link or just go off the title?

She's a shoplifter.
She was caught and arrested.

Do you mean the same people shoplift and are caught and arrested day after day, or something else?

Usually they get banned from the store after their 3rd shoplifting incident.

That girl that got shot in the Wallymart parking lot had been banned and had 3 previous shoplifting convictions. Yes the same ones keep going back.
