You are throwing out a red herring by harping on the irrelevancy of the Twitter account.
The idea is for people to act less montrously, not to shield the child from the monsters.

You still missed the point.
It would be nice if people would act less monstrously, but that is up to them to change. The internet, as many people have displayed on this particular forum, is a perfect conduit for people to be the assh*les they really are. I am not offended by the picture but other people were and like I said, the internet loves to eviscerate people anonymously whether their stupidity be accidental or purposeful. Being an anonymous assh*le over the internet isn't exclusive to "liberals". It is very much inclusive because your political affiliation doesn't determine if you are an assh*le or not.
So back to the point. Why would a ten year old have his own twitter account? This point does not place blame on the victim at all. It brings up the question of why would someone that isn't ready to deal with the assh*le nature of the internet (In a perfect world, people would treat others with respect and have reasonable discourse with each other online) be on an internet social site almost known exclusively for this? Sure you can get mad at the people chastising the little kid. That's fine. But don't try to blame it on liberals when you get upset at someone exercising their free speech.
