I think it's important to educate folks that these automatic weapons are NOT the ones that are targeted right now as "assault weapons" by our legislators.
The so called Assault weapons ban is about banning semi automatic rifles that LOOK like mililtary rifles but function just like any other semi auto hunting rifle that is not being banned.
There will be a high capacity magazine ban, and when that happens, these so called assault rifles will not be able to do or perform and differently than it legal hunting rifle counterparts.
They want to ban these guns only for cosmetic reasons.

I have. M60, M249, and I shot both a full-auto and the 3-round burst M16 in my Army days.

My all time favorite, though was the Main Gun on an M1A1 Abrams tank. I wish someone would come out with an accurate tank simulator, haven't even seen anyone try in a long time.

If I were Bill Gates, I'd find a way to buy one.

Where is 'this country'? I know where you cn buy a Vickers WW-1 machine gun if you have the cash... It's totally legit and legal in NH USA this country.

All you need is 65,000 bucks a $200.00 tax a corporation to 'trust' it to and a Sheriff to sigh you off after he does a back ground check. So if you are heavy enough you can indeed own a machine gun.

Hear say has it, this Vickers shot Snoopy Down

Read past the point where you own one.. What is it? had you just said that the first time i wouldn't have replied the same way. I guess you don't want the Vickers.

I got to try out a 1927 Thompson sub machine gun when i was 17. It belonged to a friends Dad and he was the armorer of a Mass Police Force. That was totally legal.

After the first shot the first time i wasn't on the target anymore. Not even close...

After that mag I was shown how to, and did much better.

There were stick mags and a drum, but I only was allowed the sticks.

You can buy sex and you can buy guns, but I don't remember any street walker asking me for a background check.

You hooked up with an actual street walker? At least class it up and call an escort service. C'mon, Chuck.
