Well it's also hitting Republicans, so I don't know what you're crowing about.
what's really sad is that it is hitting middle class americans in the pocketbook when they are already starting to struggle.
i went to the flea market this past weekend (hadn't been there in months) and it looked pretty busy. i was talking to a vendor there and she said "nobody is buying, look there are no packages", and this is the worst she has ever seen it.
i knew the malls were struggling, but i didn't know that flea market vendors (with much lower overhead) were struggling also.
i see gas prices going back up again-which also is not helpful. if the government wanted to help the movement of goods in this country (and truckers, and shoppers) they could consider temporarily rescinding all the gasoline taxes. where is their sacrifice?
this is NOT a good time for american businesses and job creation-but perhaps it isn't supposed to be.
Once again, only repubicans think taxes went up. Most intelligent people know that taxes went back to where they were before the bush era tax reduction. And by the way most intelligent people, republicans not included, know the difference between an opinion piece and actual news stories.
Wow, incredible delusion! The power of propaganda!
So, if we increased taxes to the level, say for example, they were at before the Kennedy tax cuts, that would not be a tax increase?
You are ignoring the fact that as well as taxes went up for higher income earners, they also went up for anyone (regardless of income level) who invests their money, as the Capital Gains tax went from 15% to 23.8%. So, if you report capital gains on your tax return, guess what? This means YOU!
What you are trying to convince people of is that a "tax increase is not a tax increase" if at some point in history taxes were at that level.
This Obama supporter knows that the tax "reduction" was temporary.
We're not nearly as stupid as those who start silly threads to get their pay to post funds.
If all politicians were smart, they'd call every cut in taxes, license fees, permits, etc. 'temporary' or a 'holiday.' That way there'd never be an increase.
How about the super rich, you know the top 10% ?? NOO NOT THEM!!! they are the "job creators" who because of there carelessness and greed destroyed the country and yet that same YEAR they gave themselves HUGE BONUSES while THEY FIRED EMPLOYEES ! spare me the garbage the right in this country spouts because they are just as worthless as many of the dems in office.
Could you provide some documentation of this? Who are the "greedy" (name them, please, by Company and their CEO's) who by their "carelessness and greed destroyed the country" and "gave themselves huge bonuses" while they fired employees? I'm talking about you providing some actual cases, with documented evidence. Links to articles by credible informed sources, not Daily Kos, or other known left-wing blogs, please. You can also exclude "Think (Stink) Progress."
Unless you have, or can provide the documented evidence of this, and can prove that this has "destroyed the country" (doubtfull) this is simply unfounded accusation, and you are engaging in propaganda.
Bonuses are usually spelled out in an employment contract, and are paid based on the meeting of performance goals. They are not arbitrarily given, and I doubt you could cite a single case where a CEO "gave himself" a bonus.
We do know, however, that certain bonuses that were part of a contractual agreement with Wall Street Executives were illegally stripped from those executives by the Obama administration by fiat, and also that the Obama administration shafted the bond holders in the GM bail out (bypassing or ignoring the law, take your pick), and illegally favoring the unions, in clear violation of existing contract law.

The holiday on payroll taxes was enacted in 2009 because the U.S. was in a serious recession. It's now recovering from that recession and the payroll tax is going to what it was before. What's the big deal?
Really? We are recovering from "that recession?" Who knew? Are all those people who lost their jobs employed again? Is the economy growing at a marvelous pace? Is there no inflation? Holy cow! I must have missed all this. Maybe I am doing better than I think I am. Yes, it must be so, because Obama says it is.
Shocker. Democrats who supported the president’s re-election just had NO idea that his steadfast pledge to raise taxes meant that he was really going to raise taxes.
Too funny, Republicans wouldn't go with NOT raising taxes on working folks so now its Obama's fault.
This is why compromising with two faced bull**** artist otherwise known as Republicans is such a mistake. If I'm pissed at Obama, I'm pissed that he isn't more divisive, more a socialist/marxist muslim extremist. I wish he would be the angry black man he is accused to being, because it is my long standing experience that acting otherwise with some white folks is a damned if you do damned if you don't proposition.
This is Obama's tax policy. Not Republicans (though we scored a victory on making the Bush era tax rates permanent for those under $400 k). And remember that no Republicans voted for ObamaCare, so any tax increases associated with the so-called "Affordable Care Act" are also Obama's doing (and there are legion of those).
So, by your post, we know you are an angry "black man" and a Marxist union thug (use of the term "working folks" is the clue).
You got what YOU voted for dude, and you deserve it.
