Banks can step in and stop business transactions with known terrotosts or parties in states under sanction. For example just try and sell guns or explosives to the Mexican Mafia or any one in Iran, or the Tailban or Hezbullah or AL Quaeda.

If it was reported that a load of guns was bought from a gun store and used to "do bad things' people would be screaming at why it was not looked at/flagged. I think people need to take a step back and decide what they want to scream at.

Oh, and I am pro gun, though I prefer things like pump action shot guns, more than hand guns. I just like the sound.

And you think it's the bank's job to do that?

And how did you decide that?

The Bank saw a lot of new transactions and appropriately froze the account until specifics are known. The source of the "outrage" is just trying to push a point of view. Here is the only credible report I could find on the event.

80 million legal gun owners in the USA, and this is going through the gun forums like wildfire, with lots of customers promising to take business elsewhere. I'd say BOA just shot themselves in the foot.

I've been considering one of American Spirit's left side charging handle uppers, but decided to pass due to price. I think I'll pony up the extra coin after this.

Nice looking product: http://www.americanspiritarms.com/up...thout-carrier/

As if anyone with any integrity needed another reason not to do business with BOA... Hope they go under.

Bank of America has always been worse than slime on a stick. They are the idiots that allow illegal aliens to open checking accounts. They are always in court over one charge of fraud or another.
Boycott the bast-rds......
