No they just dont agree with your subjective notion of what those things entail.

I knew someone was going to pull out that same old canard.

The Tea Party was always more about Christian based theocracy, racism and the rage of older people unwilling to deal with societal change than all of the things their members claim to care about.

They do. It's just the tea baggers don't stand for any of those things and instead are just bigoted fools who got played by the Republican establishment until they became an embarrassment so now they get locked back into the basement where they belong. You tea baggers should be used to being used and then tossed away.

While that may have been the intent of the TP, they have changed into an ugly, hate filled group (racist signs, disrespectful shouting at debates, etc).

Those who cannot act civilized do not deserve to have their opinions heard.

They did do a great job destroying the republican brand for years to come, they essentially lost a whole generation.

Correct, I sometimes wonder if the Tea Party was a very successful evil, secular progressive Communist, Kenyan plot to make conservative Republicans look like idiots and racist scumbags. It certainly can't be the brainchild of any rational person that hoped to lure new voters over to the GOP side.

Keep your government hands off my Medicare - as seen on signs waved by Tea Partiers is either an indication of an extreme level of stupidity or was written by a veteran comic creating a piece of satire. The entire Tea Party movement has been like a walking, talking demonstration of Poe's Law.

I do think there may be Saboteurs within the TP.

People do that in open primaries all the time.

You can't really be serious? I was just joking about that.

The Tea Party is what happens when racists and curmudgeons feel comfortable enough to let their true feelings come out in a crowd of like minded peers. Nothing more, nothing less.
