Really, wow, that is something you are proud of. Pretty low bar.

So almost half of all working Texans depend on big government. If you include non working Texans the number of Texans dependent on big government is probably much higher than half.

Texas = nanny state

Sorry, libs. Can't have it both ways. Many of them are private companies that provide a service to the government. If they didn't, who will? Should we just shut it down, and let the folks go without?

The people who want it both ways are the Texans who whine about big government yet brag about Texas.

What's the percentage in your state ? 0% ?

What percentage indicates a state is a nanny state since Texas is 40% by your link.

Most of them are Medical college oriented, MD Anderson Cancer center is one of the largest and is part of the Houston based TX Medical Center which is bigger than most metro areas in the US.

At least with Texas Dell is the largest employer and not Wallymart.
Although next year Apple may take the #1 spot since they are going to expand in Austin.

In other words, government spending that benefits you is good, government spending that doesn't is bad, eh?

Sorry cons, you can't have it both ways either.

What part of "private company" is so hard to comprehend.
