This is why I hate politics. The "left wing" media isn't the only one doing this. The "right wing" media has been having a field day with it too. Just another opportunity for you to take a shot at one of the sides and blame something on "liberals". Our country will continue to go in the toilet because rather than recognize both sides have flawed views and work to fix them, it's easier to point fingers and blame. Liberals vs conservatives, Reps vs Dems. Stupid.

If that is a joke, its a funny one.

If not, its one of the dumbest things I have read on P&C in a long time, the guy questioning the NYT's being liberal included.

Anyway, that woman is what evolutionary biologists refer to by the scientific term "freakishly hot" . I don't blame the cameraman or Brent Mussberger for pointing it out.

A savvy media consumer will note that there is no double standard here since most of the game concerns tight shots on men's posteriors and insufferable idol worship (at the pro level, anyway).

Personally, If I want to watch something homoerotic, instead of football, I watch Dual Survival, another conservative favorite.

She is so hot that you want to not like her, but she actually seems really nice, decent person.

It's not a big deal, but it's how he said it -"WOAH!!" and kept going. You could visualize the drool dribbling out of his mouth. He's too old for that, and plenty of women have been creeped out by old men gawking and hitting on us so it hits a nerve. Maybe he should have been looking more at the mom, but she is too young for him too...

You are kidding right? I listened to sports radio (which I'm sure you don't) they went on for an hour about this......it's a non-issue. She is attractive and Brent said it. Now if he said "I'd do her" that is offensive...the media has become so PC it is ridiculous.

Do we have to name all the violent movies by liberal directors/actors etc......I didn't think so.

At some point it gets to be so pervasive that I don't know if it even is hypocrisy anymore. It just becomes normal.

People who said Bush should be tried for warcrimes for the murder of civilians but don't protest the civilian deaths caused by Obama's drone strikes are hypocrites.

But when it comes to something like giving a woman a pass for behavior that you protest against for a man, I think that's just the way society works these days.

In the first example, people would in general say that killing civilians is wrong no matter who does it. They then give Obama a pass for doing it. That's hypocrisy. But I think in the second example, people in general sincerely believe that the same behavior is empowering for women and sexist for men. So they aren't really violating their own principles. It's more a flaw in our culture than it is an example of hypocrisy on the part of individuals. If it's not OK in general but you let someone get away with it anyway, you're a hypocrite. If it's OK for one and not OK for another, that's just a flawed principle. It's the principle that is hypocritical, not the people following it.

Yhere was nothing wrong what he said and those who say they're offended or its creepy are hypocrites to put it lightly.

You obviously don't see the problem. What offends the media is that there is no direct attachment or accounting for revenue. So even though most of the commercial space they sell uses sex in their advertising, its not moving product in this case. Its just making a lonely, old man happy.
