I know that certain groups were promoting Obama to use EO to bypass congress on gun control but I just saw on Fox News that he has already declared an intent to do just that.

Does anyone believe the President has the authority to bypass congress to nullify Constitutional Amendments?

For those on the left, do any of you believe this is a dictatorial action?
If not please help me understand why not?

The president is threatening two illegal acts.

1. To bypass congressional authority
2. To ignore constitutional amendments.

He's already been doing both those things for four years.

Did you expect him to stop now for some reason?

When has he used EO to ignore a constitutional amendment?
I would think that is an impeachable offense.

Well Bloomberg is one of the guys meeting with Biden to figure out what they can shove down our throats so this doesn't bode well.

He could easily make a "procedural" change like he did for the illegals getting amnesty and now this quick path to a Visa even if they are here illegally.

He "could" just change how one gets a gun and how long the waiting period is.
Doesn't prevent the right to bear arms. So it takes 5 years to get approved to buy a gun. You're not being denied your rights but "national security" has precedence to making sure Americans stay safe.

See how easy that was. I read the DHS Q&A over the constitutionality of the amnesty EOs and that's what they said..it was a procedural change and they were abiding by the words of the Constitution.

Link please.

Newsflash: Regulations and procedures, even if larger in scope, are not equal to nullification.

The way things are set up the president can declare a national emergency and do whatever the hell he wants. This is what these folks have created. All it takes is a nut to become president and a dictatorship is made. Is Obama the guy we shall see but the next guy or the next guy after could be.

Sorry to deprive RWNJ's of an opportunity for ''outrage'' and for generally getting their panties in a bunch... but where, exactly, does it indicate that Obama is even considering implementing any of these ''outside pressures'', ''suggestions'', ''recommendations'', etc.? In fact besides an occasional nice-sounding speech, when has Obama ever done anything about gun control?
