possibly. but wether it was a good or bad joke doesn't matter to the relevance of if it was a legally binding offer. to believe that the offer was legit you have to believe that a "reasonable man" could believe that there is the possibility that trump's father could have been an orangutan.
i doubt any court would find maher's joke a legally binding offer but...... i'm definitely curious to see how this progresses. my guess is that trump has opened the flood gates for more late night fodder.
one point of interest: trump released a NY certification of birth, the short form, the very thing he claimed was not legal proof of birth for obama.

i have no trouble with the document itself. the reason i bring it up is that it beautifully demonstrates that trump is either being hypocritical or he is completely oblivious to any facts concerning the topic.

sure i can. trump has never retracted his statement that obama's COLB isn't sufficient evidence. this is the
epitome of hypocrisy. to claim something isn't proof for one person then use the exact same thing as proof for oneself.
if trump came clean and admitted he was wrong about the HI COLB i'd change my opinion but..... that hasn't happened yet.
