If you can figure out a realistic way to get 200,000 million guns and who knows how many criminals off the street I'll get my torch out and start cutting up my guns.

I said real solutions. Arming a grade schooler with a gun is literally the stupidest idea of all the proposals I've heard from you gun nuts and really shows how out of touch with reality you are. Babies with guns.... you don't even have the basic foresight to see how badly that can end? Really?
My children have all been trained in firearm safety and how to shoot a firearm and do it well. Somehow they are alive to the shock of the gun grabbers. Maybe if you lefties weren't so scart of guns and actually realized they aren't evil only the folks who pull the trigger while it's pointed at somebody are evil then we can get somewhere. Sadly you are too blind to see.

Look, kids do stupid things all the time... that's why they are not given particular rights and responsibilities until later in life when they have the maturity to make proper decisions. Would you really trust an 8 year old to drive your car? Do you want 9 year olds sitting at the bar with you, drinking as much as you do? How many 6 year old pilots do you trust to get you to your destination safely?
Kids fight. They don't have the maturity to always control their emotions. A kid who is picked on is going to go to the gun before he learns how to settle things the hard way or the long way. This "arm the kids in schools" argument literally makes me question the intelligence on some of the people here.
