I am going to be fair here. I don't the current system for the poor or the corporate subsidies for the very wealthy.

To be fair, there are people out there who work very hard, some even two or three jobs to make ends meet. I have met some of these people and they are poor. These people make sacrifices just to be able to feed their kids. These people need the help and often don't get it because they played by the rules, got married, and work very hard. I really think the current system hurts the working poor who clearly deserve the hand up.

There are also poor people who take advantage of the system. A relative of mine doesn't want to work and neither does her boyfriend. They get more help than the working poor because they live together and have a child. She claims no income so she can get welfare, food stamps, WIC, and Medicaid. He doesn't have a job and lives off her goodies from Uncle Sam.

The system for the rich doesn't work either. We have corporations who are very wealthy and receive subsidies just because they are the right industry or have the right lobbyists. I don't know why we give out subsidies to solar or even gas companies. Why do these companies deserve special treatment?

On the other hand, we also have small business owners who are defined as rich by many liberals. These people work very hard and create jobs here in the USA. These folks don't have the offshore accounts because they can't afford them. Many of these folks started businesses from scratch and were once poor. I don't know why small business owners are given so much grief by many democrats. Leave them alone and let them run a business.

There is a lot of good stuff in your post. But I would tell people who cannot afford kids to not have kids. Having kids is not a right or a requirement. We already have too many in this world.
