I was taught to shoot weapons by my father when I was 6 years old. That training made me a marksman that benefited me in the U.S. Army as a combat infantryman. I think what the Louisiana sheriffs department is doing is absolutely wonderful. Teaching these young whippersnappers to become gun enthusiasts at a early age will benefit them greatly in life.

It's sponsored by other people as well but wouldn't a large gun retailer sponsoring a gun training class be a sign of them being responsible? If they refused to sponsor these classes you would "note" it as well, they can't win either way so it's best to just completely ignore people who think irrationally.
