I hate NPR/PBS/CPB for three simple reasons:
  • They're mostly addle-brained socialists and hippies spouting Marxism all day.

  • They do it with taxpayer money. (I'm forced to pay for this sh&t I don't agree with!)

  • As with any other gov't program, there's no accountability.
As proof of that last point: they don't even publish any Arbitron/Nielsen ratings (which would be a total joke, like 0.0005 if they ever did). Why? Because unlike commercial TV/radio, they don't have to compete for advertising dollars! They get a free ride; an unending money spigot from your pocket and mine!

I sorely wish Congress would end Broadcast Welfare and cut the purse from CPB.

I've always heard Volvo's were easy to fix...doesn't sound very yuppie to me.

And I have a 1994 something that runs, but I must admit I have a few stickers: 9mile run one of them (for the Pittsburgh of Pittsburgh watershed).

What liberal media? The other news outlets spout conservative corporatism all day long.

That's because it has no bumper. All those "my other car is a broom" stickers weighed it down.

Spoken like a true right winger........ Sat. radio is the answer , for both sides........ you pay , you play.......sure would miss my favorites on NPR however . Hippie , thats funny..... much too old to be one., and the only Volvo I ever owned was a truck ( many ).......I must be a Socialist in sheep's clothing... and all these years I thought I was a capitalist.

I recently sold my 1985 something. I now have a 1998 something else.

There really isn't much of a bias (all human beings have biases). It could go either-way. The only bias is the administration's hacks trying to destroy the last bastion of non-corporatist media. It's mostly listener funded. The taxes insure that there is no advertising and that it can be legitimately called public.

At least I'm not a conservative sheep, lapping up the lies of the right-wing talk show hosts and FOX news and other corporatist media and driving around in a pickup truck with "W" and conservative one-liner bumper stickers that is so big that I can barely control it.
