DC has the toughest gun laws so how can this happen? *******s please explain!

Police in the District are looking for several robbers after eight holdups occurred in the span of just a few hours Friday night.

Police say the robberies started at around 7:00 p.m. in the 3300 block of 6th Street SE. After that, there were two more reported robberies in Southeast and five more in Northwest.

Several of the incidents involved guns. And in one, a thief reportedly wore Redskins gloves.

Any assault rifles with 100 round clips used?

Virginia and Maryland are closeby and are easier to get guns to be smuggled into the District especially Virginia.

Not without breaking the law.

Q: To whom may an unlicensed person transfer firearms under the GCA? A person may sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of his State, if he does not know or have reasonable cause to believe the person is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under Federal law. A person may loan or rent a firearm to a resident of any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes, if he does not know or have reasonable cause to believe the person is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under Federal law. A person may sell or transfer a firearm to a licensee in any State. However, a firearm other than a curio or relic may not be transferred interstate to a licensed collector.
[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(3) and (5), 922(d), 27 CFR 478.29 and 478.30]

Q: May a person (who is not an alien) who resides in one State and owns property in another State purchase a handgun in either State? If a person maintains a home in 2 States and resides in both States for certain periods of the year, he or she may, during the period of time the person actually resides in a particular State, purchase a handgun in that State. However, simply owning property in another State does not qualify the person to purchase a handgun in that State.
[27 CFR 478.11]

Once again the liberal way manifests itself. Don't like the questions, pretend it wasn't asked.

So Bob, NO ONE IN DC IS TOO HAVE ANY GUN! my question is "Since guns are illegal in DC how can anyone
get one?" DC gun laws work, right????

I didn't know that being a liberal meant you walked around with blinders on refusing to recognize truth
(gun laws don't work) when it smacks you upside the head.

I don't think Bob is anti gun. I think he was trying to mock the idea that anti gun have about black rifles being evil.

Well Bob as we know the "assault weapons" that they are pushing to be banned are rarely used to commit murders. It's mostly illegal handguns that have been used to murder 500 people in Chicago... just saying.

I drove into DC last summer, hmmm, I don't recall my car being searched for guns. So, this thread must be about lamenting the police tactics in upholding the law.

I can work with that: In effect this means police aren't up to the challenge and that GUNS LAWS DON'T WORK! Try that on and see how it fits.

Remember, when you call a cop he will arrive in time to identify the bodies. Don't let one of the bodies
be yours!
