It's almost as stupid as "universal background checks" on private sales...as if criminals buy guns legally. Perhaps dumber yet is the current NICS system...without a means of adding the mentally ill, including those on psychoactive drugs, to the database. Someone that takes prescription drugs just to "cope" probably aren't the best candidates for firearms ownership.
