Liberalism corrupts and Rots all it touches. It does nothing but harm, and is a toxin on humanity.

Because the Dept of Ed is terribly inefficient....administration is corrupt and tenured teachers are lame ducks.

Really reallly simple stuff.... yet people still whine and complain when you point these facts out.

EDIT: The erosion of family values is also a big factor

the answer is economics. Just as it cost more to make a product in American than it does in the rest of the world, the same is said of education.

also, liberal states in general have higher graduation rates and test scores. this thread is a #Fail.

The answer is simple, the money we spend on education doesn't actually go towards "education". Paying the overpaid union administrators that aren't needed doesn't do anything to help our children learn.

No not exactly, we are horribly inefficient when it comes to our public education system.

It all starts at home. America is now infested with the Lowest Common Denominator™ from other countries....mostly Hispanic and African.....who could not care one wit about personal responsibility or good parenting. Their angle of attack is that of procuring welfare and other handouts by spewing out as many babies as possible. The more babies a person has, the more insulated he/she is from deportation. That's a fact. As these infestors continue to dissolve the American social fabric, we can expect our schools and our students to suffer as well.

Here in the DC area, we looked at quite a few areas to build the house we are currently building. We opted against a few areas because of the prevalence of English As A Second Language funding challenges in schools that certain counties and cities are facing due to unabated immigration.

Such challenges point directly to the ultimate deterioration of communities. We didn't want to have any part in that.

Liberals are in charge of the schools, regardless if its in a Conservative state or a Liberal state.

Maybe it's time to stop building those athletic monuments to former school administrators and make education more competitive. Why spend millions on athletic stadiums/sports facilities when education of our youth takes a back seat to developing students for NFL/NBA/MLB?

Not everyone is college material. Education seldom reflects this fact, and few are taught that a liberal arts degree qualifies one for flipping burgers.
