"The tentative agreement would further restrict New York's ban on assault weapons and limit the size of magazines to seven bullets, rather than the current 10."

If this is passed, magazines will go down to seven, instead of ten, for law-abiding citizens. How many will non-law-abiding citizens have?

Will people planning to commit assaults, rapes, and mass murder, decide not to do them in New York because of a new law saying you can't have certain kinds of guns or magazine sizes?

You pro-gunners need to look on the bright side. A reduction in magazine capacity may encourage more law-abiding gun owners to seek more training in order to improve their accuracy. This means more money spent on range memberships and ammunition, which is good for gun shops.
