I hope you liberals are happy. Giving away rights and freedoms that millions of men have died for in this nation. You are an emotion driven, mentally sick people.

We should not expect children to die for your rights to own a gun the way you want to own it.

If the Republicans have any fight in them, they will kill every single one of those 19 executive actions even if it takes filibustering.

Here is part of the problem. First, I am NOT for banning guns. ANY guns. I am NOT for banning high capacity magazines either.
However, saying that, the problem is the lack of middle ground. I have no problems with backgrounds checks, for everyone, everywhere. I have no problems with strengthening mental health screenings or even the dreaded waiting period. I have no problems with renewing these screenings every 2-3 years. I'll even throw one more thing in to the mix most people don't like (I have it): A one million plus dollar umbrella insurance policy for ALL gun owners. I don't even mind taxing guns a tad more to pay for the data bases and to pay for classes for people, in responsible gun ownership. Hell, you can make people lock them up (in California there is such a law) with small children in the home. I don't mind reasonable "gun controls."
However, gun controls are that: CONTROLS. They are NOT bans.
When you say: Block everything, it gets people dander up and the fight is on. And that is all this is going to be, a long winded, knock down, expensive fight, to the US Supreme Court, where every tax payer is going to be hanging out to try.
Come to a reasonable, responsible solution to this. Banning guns won't work and we all agree on that. There are too many of them out there. A ban is fruitless. However, if we can identify a few of the persons who may go off the wagon and shoot up, "X, Y, or Z." Great, we did the best we could and, right now, that is all we can hope for.

Huh? The Civil War apart (unless you want to claim that we were defending our rights and freedoms by killing each other), the total of American military casualties barely amounts to 700,000. And that includes such imperial wars as the War of 1812 (20,000), the Mexican War (13,300) and the Spanish War (2,500).
As I read it, nothing is getting banned or regulated. Looks like he wants to try and ban high cap magazines, but that is a fruitless pursuit.
“It was all focusing on enforcing existing law, administering things like improving the background database, things like that that do not involve a change in the law but enforcing and making sure that the present law is administered as well as possible,” said Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.)."

Where do you get this "we" crap from ? Do you have a frog in your pocket or the reasonale facsimile
thereof ?
The last time we heard from you, you were calling for a world Government, right ? You don't have the
right to dictate anything i own, and I seriously doubt your ability to take it away from me.

Your proposals are not "reasonable."
