And that ordinance was later tossed out by the courts as unconstitutional, when someone finally lived to challenge it instead of being murdered by a thug with a badge.

Since the police response is much slower in more rural areas, and since no one would often even hear a criminal assaulting an innocent person...why would there be less violence? What is it about urban areas that makes people violent?

The "Wild West" is basically a myth that was created by the movies in the early 20th century.

Wyatt and his brother were the biggest thugs of all. They just did not want any competition or the posibility of being shot by someone they had harmed.
