But it's for the children. They sent letters to the President. They demanded that machine guns be banned.

He has to get the ban through Congress first and it wouldn't effect anything already in circulation.

Only the most extreme of the far-right extremists in the country speak-out against protecting our nation from the abuses perpetrated by supposedly "law abiding" gun dealers, manufacturers and violent criminals. The rights of ownership and use aren't unlimited. The nation broadly supports better enforcement of existing laws and the adoption of additional ones.

How would have these stricter laws prevented Newtown ?
They wouldn't.

His mother would still have the guns.
10 bullets ? Really ? That will "prevent" mass murders by someone who always ends up as having "mental problems".

You still have a problem here gomexico that hasn't been acknowledged never mind addressed.

They put tougher laws on people that follow the laws to begin with.

Just like putting the TSA in place to "catch terrorists".
All of America gets groped in hope that the ONE terrorist gets caught.

Still waiting for news that the TSA caught him at the X-ray machine.

How can Obama dictate to us, something he is unwilling to do (i.e. backround check)?
