It is supposed to mean Republican in Name Only. The wing nuts perceive that as anyone who dares not yell "Hurray" at everything they say. Must like Stalin-they try to suppress differences of opinion.

Havent heard much about them lately, but I work at university. I dont know anyone under age 60 who even gives the tea party a thought.
When the Tea Party got started in 2007, I didn't give them much thought. Now they scare me.

At my university(before I graduated) I ran into quite a few people under 60(most of these persons were under 30) who supported the Tea Party.

Oh, okay.

The irony is even Mike Huckabee has made some comments I have questions about.

44 - Huckabee claims inaccurately that Obama was raised in Kenya

It is racist. Anyone claiming otherwise is probably racist themselves. Either that or sadly delusional. Anyway, it's stuff like this which has caused the Tea Party to become quickly irrelevant.
Correction:

Anyone claiming otherwise is definitely racist themselves.

Yeah, but there's nobody who doesn't realize that it's racist.

When they falsely claim that it isn't racist it just proves that they are.

That was the intent and they know it. Its a wink game.

They seem to be the same people who believed oxycontin Rush when he mistakenly announced missiles being shot over on the California coast.

They are mentally unbalanced, at the very least.

Protestors like this are completely unbalanced
