I thought guns were no deterrent? Where are the stistics showing guns thwarting attacks on the president' s children? The Secret Service seems more likely to accidentally shoot them since we have so few cases of them using guns directly on criminals.
Aside from the fact that Secret Service agents are far more than just armed body guards but sworn law enforcement officers, guns are not the Secret Services first, second or third line of defense. As one Secret Service agent put it to me, "If I have to draw my weapon, we've failed."

None of the shooters, Adam Lanza or James Holmes were criminals or felons, until they killed a bunch of people.

I have no issue with these orders but I have big problem with him pushing Assault Weapon Ban and limiting magazine capacity, a tried (10 years) and failed legislation.
They forget the '94-'04 AWB did not expire in all 50 States. It's still in effect in at least half a dozen locations...maybe more. I don't keep up with Commie States and their far left laws. Did it do anything when it WAS in effect in all 50 States? Hell no it didn't, it's a carefully calculated plan to disarm Americans. Next thing you know, a Smith model 10 .38 SPL will be on their list.
I'm not buying it for one bit.

Lanza shouldn't have had easy access to a gun, much less multiple guns, and an upbringing drowning in guns.
