Thanks for the link. Looks like it was put in there to prevent the data collection that is being mandated by Obamacare with the move to electronic medical records.
They didn't want gun owners being unfairly discriminated against.
And it was only for wellness programs and prevention programs, not mental health programs.

So now all doctors for any reason can ask if you have a gun.
Wonder if the data collection under Obamacare is changed as well.

Well I hope their data collection system have 3 answers..yes, no and none of your business.

That means your dentist can ask you if you go in for your preventative cleanings.

Because gun owners are afraid to have anyone know they have a gun.

ROFLMAO. Good ole Harry Reid, doing his job for Nevada and future votes over what his party proclaims.

If that doesn't say he's a two faced slimy politician to beat all.

Keep Nevada voters happy will keep Harry in office.

Yes, I remember when that started happening in Nazi Germany... except they were asking patients if they liked other men or had Jewish grandparents, not if they owned guns.

Still, that *might* have crossed the "paranoia line"... just saying.

I once had an argument with my doctor and pissed him off . I guess under the new obama rules a mere stroke of a pen would get me investigated.

No it does not. Question for you Toyman; how do you reconcile saying that people should actually read something, when you didn't read it and make a false statement about it?

Section 2716(c), as added by Section 10101, prohibits insurers from collecting and disclosing gun ownership data for the purpose of determining premium rates. It has nothing to do with preventing doctors from asking if patients have guns in their homes.

He's averaging 0 days of a House that wants to even acknowledge him, much less negotiate.
