“The Constitution of the United States of America clearly affirms the right of every American citizen to bear arms. And as Americans, we will not give up a single right guaranteed under the Constitution. The history of unpunished violence against our people clearly indicates that we must be prepared to defend ourselves or we will continue to be a defenseless people at the mercy of a ruthless and violent racist mob.”

I don't think Malcolm X thought Hank Johnson would be the mob he was talking about but he is.

That's easy to explain. However, you'll always have that crutch to lean on as you so often do. It's always there for you. It must be really convenient.

Where have you been? You alive when Clinton was president? Oh wait I forget he's really the first "black" president so this is just the NRA being racist right?

LOL ....ohhhh the naive on this forum are soooo funny!!!

Barack Obama is not a dictator. He can say "NO" all he wants to, but it has absolutely no effect on the outcome. This was evident in today's signing of 23 largely toothless Orders. The real heavy lifting must be done through Congress, of which the NRA has vast and deep influence.

One day you'll finally understand what the Presidency is all about.

Show us a modern gun-grabbing President that surpasses Barack Obama's actions and intent.

Sorry, but I have never seen so much hatred directed toward a president. It's not dislike, it's nothing but undisguised hatred. He's a muslim, he's not a citizen, he's the anti-christ, he's not one of us. All the nuts have been out in full force since 2008. The lack of respect shown by the right to a sitting President is shameful, and their tactics over the past 4 years have made it very clear that they have no interest in governing, only in winning elections and doing anything they can to obstruct whatever the President tries to do.

Republican blacks don't need a race card because the rest of the party already hates them anyway.

You tell yourself whatever you want to make you feel better but it's pretty obvious to anyone who has watched this saga over the past 4 years. There is no other word for it than racism.

The republican party and it's collection of kooks, wackos, and tea baggers is spiraling deeper & deeper into irrelevancy every day. I'm ashamed to say that I ever voted republican, sad to say.
