I would never confuse a cowboy with a hillbilly. There might be an overlap btw a hillbilly and a redneck, though.
Yep. Cowboy is a culture and lifestyle unto itself. However, many of the same morals and values associated with cowboy life overlap with plain ol' country folk. The difference is cattle, open range, and the prevalence of the horse in daily life. Oh, there are other cultural differences, but its nit picking.

FYI, California is the 5th largest supplier of food and agriculture in the WORLD. There is a lot of farm country (and farm culture) in the state. There are over 80,000 farms in the state.

Is that so? I've never seen so many pro-gay people in one place. I've never seen so many anti-gun people in one place.....maybe NY, but it's a stretch. How are you going to drive a real truck with over $3,000 worth of extra smog crap installed? The closest most came to a cow is when they stomped into Arby's to take a p*ss

CA laws and politics are not in line with rural living. What about the strict gun control? Most people I've known who lived rural in CA were desert dwellers living a dismal existance. You can live better in other southwestern states if you want the desert.

What does California being the largest supplier of produce and agriculture in the United States have to do with "pro-gay" or "anti-gun"? And no one has "$3000 worth of extra smog crap" installed on their vehicles.

It's clear you've never been out of california and probably never off your own block.

Emission crap on CA cars is much more extensive than other states.

Now you know.

There are a lot of stereotypes associated with the "hillbilly" culture of Appalachia, like Eastern Kentucky. But stereotypes are just that. There are a lot of creative, wonderful, sensitive, hardworking, smart people out in that neck of the woods. Also, poverty.

I have all different types of friends and family, luv them all. I'm not going to knock the preppy ones, most would help me out if needed - but, it sure is nice when someone knows how to jump start the car .
