Texas to New York gun owners " leave there and come here!" (how much, elect)

You do realize that most people who live in those places probably don't spend much time there... as they're too busy going to shows, walking to restaurants and bars, visiting parks and museums... you know, not living in a cultural and social backwater.
Sounds like living in hell to me. Where's the lakes and fishing ponds? Where's the dirtbikes and 4-wheelers? Where's the shooting ranges, hunting, camping and fun? You know, when you hear someone fire something off and not everyone calls the cops and dials 911?

No thanks....
You clearly haven't spent much time in NY. They have all that there. Probably less dirt bikes and 4-wheelers as they prefer skiing and flying.
tell that to the person who lives in a 220 square foot box in an apartment building.
You mean the dump and a prison in the sky? Yeah, I can see the allure of that. Hearing your neighbors toilet flush next door must be really awesome. Getting busted for carrying a Buck 110 must be too. I think their tunes suck too. Just what I always wanted to be, a uptight metro girly man, yuppie that would knock his own grandmother out of the way to further advance his position inline.

This. Going to a show or museum might might be fun once in a great while, but what little time I spent in urban areas I found boring as hell. What they have for things to do just don't interest me for any length of time. I have 20 million acres of National Forest to play in....a little city park? Really?

I had the misfortune to grow up in upstate NY. There is very little dirt biking or four wheeling...the vast majority of the land is private and what public land there is is very restricted with regard to motorized toys. And skiing? New York doesn't even have any frickin' mountains, there are only some little hills. The "ski hill" in WNY has maybe 300 feet of drop down one hillside. I did enjoy snowmobiling on the Tug Hill plateau...but what area there was to ride had LOTS of traffic and just went bar to bar.

Another person who clearly knows nothing about New York.
New York is mostly forests, rivers, mountains, and lakes. It has the largest state park in the nation that is larger than the Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Glacier and Olympic National Parks combined.
The lack of education you folks have is impressive and sad at the same time.
Understood. So you don't know what you're talking about.
Sure I do, I have a CCW and carry daily. No one ever questions it. I also have a large tactical folder of some kind on me as well as a Victorinox Swiss Army knife. No one bothers me and I'm not restricted to seven rounds either. No '94 or brand new '13 NY AWB in effect here.

I would go nuts in NYC. I'd end up in a fist fight within an hour from some New Yawka tough guy who can't keep his big mouth shut. They specialize in big mouths and attitudes there. Some rural boy needs to help them shut it.
