How about this, we will support your gay marriage and you will support more freedom for us to own firearms legally?

I have no problem if you want to throw in a few other ideas in your cause.

How about this:

If liberals agree to repeal all their so-called "gun control" laws, we, the law-abiding citizens, agree not to throw the liberals in jail for their years of violations of our rights.

Once that's in place, then we can work on a second compromise:

The liberals agree to pay reparations for the property damage caused by criminals to our houses, cars, workplaces, etc., as well as fallen property values while the responsible citizens were not permitted to defend any of it; and the responsible citizens will agree not to hold the liberals criminally liable for the assaults, physical trauma, hospital bills, injuries, and DEATHS caused by those criminals for the last several decades while the victims were prevented from defending themselves by the gun-haters.

Unless the liberals try it again, in which case the deal is off.

That's a nice, workable compromise on "gun control".

Sound like a plan?

I think you are going to the extreme. We should work together repeal gun controls laws that only restricts law abiding citizens while supporting gay marriage.

What has one have to do with the other?

A lot. It's freedom. This way both of us get what we want.

We don't need more government involvement in our lives, just to compromise the constitution anymore than it already has.

Get government out of the marriage business all together, so they no longer have the opportunity to pick the winners and losers to gain votes and power.

Not at all.

An "extreme" would be, we'll repeal all the "gun control" laws, and then throw the liberals in jail anyway, for decades of violating our rights. And we'll let them out only long enough to stand trial for the assaults, injuries, rapes, and deaths they indirectly (or maybe not so indirectly) caused by preventing us from defending ourselves from the crooks they keep letting out of jail.

I was trying to be nice to them, in my previous post. You did ask for a compromise, after all. But if you didn't like that one, there's always this one.

That's stupid.

Any "small government conservative" who gives a **** what gay people do in the privacy of their own homes is a hypocrite.

On guns? No compromise.

Actually we should start with the past few decades of liberal Democrats violating Article 4 section 4 of the Constitution that guarantees a republican form of government.

Quote:
U.S. Constitution - Article 4 Section 4

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.
So anyone that claims we live in a democracy is either lying or a tyrant or both. It could even be argued that the Democratic Party is in itself a violation of Article 4 section 4 of the constitution.

No it is just further compromise of our moral and the destruction of our freedoms.
