Many people feel that Congress as a whole has failed to execute the will of the people which means that it's time for a change. Is that change term limits for Congress just as there are for the President??

One point of view.....

What if you like your Congressmen so much, that you want to keep him in office in perpetuity? It's all of the other congressmen who are the problem.

They're doing exactly the job the banks and corporations pay them to do; pass favorable legislation.

I've said for years that every elected official should have one term of 6 years and then they're out the door. Of course, I've also said for years that doctors and lawyers shouldn't be allowed to run for any government office due to a conflict of interest if/when they return to private life.

I have always found it amusing that the voters that put these people in office complain about the rich and how they are being screwed. At the same time the person they voted for is wealthy, screwing them and brainwashing them and their children into liking it.

That's exactly it and the reasons for voting for a long time incumbent go beyond whether you like their decisions, seniority brings home the bacon and that is the primary issue with anyone in office for long time. We had a Congressman here (Kanjorski) where is was shown his relatives company was getting millions in federal funds and even after it went bankrupt with absolutely nothing to show for it they were still electing him...
